Embedded Systems Show 2006 – a date for the diary
EDA Exhibitions has announced that the Embedded Systems Show (ESS) 2006 will take place on 11 and 12 October at the NEC, Birmingham. Now in its 12th year, the Embedded Systems Show is the UK´s largest event for system engineering and embedded software development. Alongside the core exhibition, the Embedded Systems Show includes a technical conference, vendor speaking programme and exhibitor product demonstrations.
Building on the success of ESS 2005, and a 30 percent increase in exhibitor and visitor numbers, the Embedded Systems Show will maintain its status as the key forum for the embedded system design community – sharing technical knowledge and expertise, and connecting leading suppliers of semiconductors, boards, modules and development tools with decision-makers from the UK´s leading electronics OEMs and systems houses. New exhibiting companies include a double sponsorship by the Avnet group of companies. The Silica and Avnet Memec divisions will have separate exhibition stands showcasing represented products lines including Microsoft, Xilinx, ARM, Intel, Segger and Silicon Labs.
Exhibition Director Andrew Porter says: “The Embedded Systems Show 2006, now in its 12th consecutive year, is focused on addressing the real commercial and technical pressures facing the industry today. The comprehensive array of engineering solutions on display at the Embedded Systems Show will be a demonstration of the ever-evolving industry and the competitive new technologies and solutions available to those within it. The technical conference has been designed to help industry practitioners extract as much commercial benefit as possible from the solutions on display, and will explore the current and emerging engineering trends driving our industry for the coming year.”
The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), Europe´s largest professional body for electronic engineers, is the principal sponsor for the Embedded Systems Show 2006, lending both its name and expertise to the technical conference and exhibition. The technical conference sessions will cover all of the key topics in system engineering and embedded software development, with presentations by leading academics, consultants and technology specialists.
Registration to the exhibition is free to all. Delegates registering for the conference and technical sessions prior to 28 July will benefit from a discount of up to 40 percent.
