Anritsu Corporation, 17th June 2003 - At this weeks' Bluetooth Congress in Amsterdam, Anritsu is previewing the industry's first multi standard power meter for WLAN and Bluetooth power measurements. Addressing the important issues of power control, peak power and timing in the design and implementation of wireless networks, Anritsu's ML2488A can deliver accurate power measurements on all Bluetooth and 802.11 WLAN standards.
With a sampling rate of 64Ms/s, Anritsu's ML2488A offers peak power detection for 802.11a, b and g, eliminating the need for manual correction factors found on current generation of power meters. The dual channel sensor input and display allows simultaneous monitoring of WLAN and Bluetooth devices, which are crucial elements of the co-existence of the multi standards.
"Covering 3G as well, ML2488A is a testimony to Anritsu's drive to develop products which address the issues of compatibility and coexistence", said Peter George, RF Measurements Business Manager at Anritsu Ltd.
"Bluetooth and W-LAN are here to stay and very soon all IT equipment will support them both along with other new wireless standards. Focusing on coexistence now will pay dividends in the future", added George.
Anritsu will also showcase a range of products including the Bluetooth one-box testers, pre-conformance test system, spectrum analyser and most recently launched Bluetooth headset capability, at this year's Congress.
