CG Mupac, a Carlo Gavazzi Group Company, announces today the release of a new line of standard and custom high-power, low noise StarFabric CompactPCI backplanes that are designed to the latest PICMG standards.
CG Mupac’s new line of eight and 21-slot CompactPCI backplanes features PICMG 2.9 IPMB to all slots, Hot Swap compliance, and 5V or 3.3V switchable signaling. The eight-slot backplane features one system slot, four node slots, two fabric slots, and one CompactPCI non-node slot, while the 21-slot version features one system slot, 17 node slots, two fabric slots, and one CompactPCI non-node slot. Custom configurations ranging from two to 21 slots are also available.
CG Mupac’s new PICMG 2.17 backplanes round out the company's standard and custom packaging solutions, which include CompactPCI chassis, enclosures, single board computers (SBCs), development kits, and integrated systems. Additionally, the PICMG 2.17 BACKPLANES compliment StarFabric board-level products from sister company Aurora Technologies, Inc. The two companies recently collaborated on a StarFabric Development Kit, which integrates CG Mupac’s 2.17 backplane and 585 Series of eight-slot portable aluminum enclosures with Aurora's CP-SFX8 Switch Card for a complete platform that aids StarFabric application development and reduces time to market.
