EUROPEAN MICROWAVE WEEK COMES TO UK FOR THE FIRST TIME
Amsterdam, Munich, Paris. Three major European cities have hosted the event and seen the level of activity and excitement it´s generated - now it´s London´s turn.
From the 24th-28th September 2001 European Microwave Week will come to London for the first time, bringing three major conferences and an international microwave and wireless exhibition to the capital´s new five-star conference, exhibition and events venue, ExCel. As an established industry event, it regularly attracts a broad international mix of delegates, exhibitors and speakers, and this year will be no exception, set off perfectly by its state-of-the-art venue.
Bigger and better for 2001: 95 percent of the exhibitor space has already been sold for the exhibition taking place from 25th - 27th September, which has increased each year both in terms of stand numbers and attendees. Exhibition visitors will get the chance to discuss the newest product developments with top decision-makers from companies such as IBM, Agilent Technologies and Ericsson to name a few.
Leading industry speakers will soon be announced in the comprehensive conference programme, running for the entire week. It includes the Gallium Arsenide Application Symposium (GAAS), to discuss recent industry developments and exchange scientific information. This year it will focus particularly on telecommunications, automotive, sensor, military and space applications. The 31st European Microwave conference will address the newest theoretical advances, techniques and systems in microwave, millimetre and sub-millimetre waves. Developments in wireless technology will play a major role throughout the week, on both the exhibition floor, and at the European ECWT Conference. In particular this conference will discuss the technical challenges of higher data rates and improved spectral efficiency in light of emerging commercial demands. The conference programme will be announced at the end of May.
Attendees can also participate in complimentary workshops and short courses on hot industry topics.
