IP2001 System on chip for a connected world NEW NAME, NEW VENUE, MORE CHOICE
15th - 16th October 2001, Palais des congres de Lyon, France
CMP Electronics (formerly Miller Freeman UK Ltd) has announced the re-branding of its IP/BLUETOOTH yearly conference and exhibition. The event will continue to cover the same cutting edge technologies as before, but since it´s marked expansion into related industry developments, a new name now embraces the event - SoC for a Connected World incorporating the IP and Bluetooth conference and exhibition. The conference is a unique European event that will take an in-depth look at the design challenges facing the SoC industry, whilst the exhibition is a perfect environment for visitors to view the latest product developments.
For this new and exciting event there´s an opportunity not to be missed for speakers to present their work to an international audience, establish expertise in their field as well as meet and exchange ideas with fellow experts and industry press. The deadline for presenting abstracts for consideration is June 1st 2001 - giving potential speakers over two months to prepare their specialist topics.
Comments Tony Hennie, business development manager, on the decision to re-brand: "It´s one of many positive steps the team has taken to better represent all our exhibitors and attendees. We´ve been aware for some time now that the event has attracted so many more experts and companies whose core activities don´t all concentrate on IP or Bluetooth. So we wanted to gear the branding to a level that would make all those involved, feel welcome. I think SoC for a Connected World does just that."
Last year, the event attracted major industry players from across Europe. Leading companies such as IBM Microelectronics, Mentor Graphics, Cadence and Rohde & Schwarz made the most of the exhibition to talk to the people that count - all under one roof.
Following the impressive effect that last year´s event in Edinburgh had on bringing together companies with top industry delegates, SoC for a Connected World is sure to follow suit in 2001.
