Ayer, MA., Hybricon Corporation announces the release of a new line of hard drive carriers (Part Number 091-031) which support dual Hot Swap SCSI SCA hard drives (hard drives not included). The carrier measures 6U by 8HP (1.6") wide and can be installed in IEEE 1101.1 or 1101.10 style card racks. The carrier contains two removable disk shuttles for hot swap SCI hard drives with 80-pin SCA connector which are mechanically compatible with Seagate ST31975LC or equivalent. A single industry-standard type disk power connector provides power to both SCI hard drives.
Additional Features:
Ø Dual independent SCSI buses support RAID configurations
Ø Each SCSI bus supports two 68-pin SCSI (IN and OUT) cable connectors plus one 80-pin SCA hot swap drive connector
Ø Each SCSI bus has active auto termination for Low Voltage Differential (LVD) or single ended SCSI
Ø Auto termination is automatically disabled for a SCSI bus if its SCSI OUT connector is connected
Ø Operates with High Voltage Differential SCSI, but will not provide active auto termination for this mode
Ø SCSI termination powered by TERMPOWER
Ø Independent SCSI target ID selection for each drive
