| Crellon Microsystems announces the introduction of SuperView 2000, a windowing system that enables multiple live video images to be added to any computer display at a resolution up to 2048 x 2048 pixel. Developed by US company RGB Spectrum, for whom Crellon is the UK distributor, SuperView 2000 is aimed at remote monitoring applications.
The SuperView 2000 can display from 2 to 24 video signals on one screen. Video input signals may be PAL, NTSC or S-Video and the display screen may be any monitor up to 2048 x 2048-pixel resolution.
The features of the SuperView 2000 include pan and zoom, the ability to independently position and scale windows, and automatic genlock to a computer signal. Each window can be overlaid with computer graphics and overlapped with other video windows.
An external standalone peripheral that can be used with any computer system, SuperView supports software control to manipulate the windows, adjust video parameters and control graphics overlays via the RS-232 port. A push-button front panel controller option allows the same capabilities to be controlled from the unit itself.
